Golden age of steam returns to Inverkeithing with rail tour
29 JulyYou can take a trip back in time, and enjoy a journey from Inverkeithing on a classic steam train when 'The Great Marquess' travels the Forth Circle on Sunday 22nd August.
This special journey - including a trip over the Forth Bridge - will include a short stop at Stirling for passengers to view the locomotive and take photographs, before the train steams on through to Falkirk to complete the circle.
There will be two trips on the Great Marquess - the first leaving Linlithgow at 9.25am, and returning at around 2.10pm. Passengers can join the afternoon run at Dalmeny (around 3.30pm, returning 8.15pm) or Inverkeithing (3.45pm, returning 8.15pm).
The Great Marquess will be hauling the Scottish Railway Preservation Society's maroon coaches.
The standard class fare for the trip is £39 (child £27), and first class is £56. Full meals are available for £10.
