Police seek help as wheelie bin theives hit Inverkeithing

A number of blue wheelie bins in Cochrane Avenue and Preston Terrace were stolen over the weekend
Local police are asking for help as they investigate the theft of a number of blue wheelie bins from the Cochrane Avenue and Preston Terrace areas of Inverkeithing over the weekend.
It is thought the thefts happened on the evening of Saturday 13th March and police are appealing for information.
Local community officer PC Paul Dykes added: "Moving the bins can cause quite a noise and I am hopeful that someone in the area may have seen those responsible. I encourage anyone with information to contact Fife police on 0845 600 4702 or alternatively via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111".
Police have also encouraged local residents to be vigilant and to keep wheelie bins in secure gardens or bin stores where possible.
